The Light Within the Winter: A Journey Inward

In the North, winter is not just a season; it is a profound teacher. As the landscapes of Sweden drape themselves in white and the days grow shorter, the world outside falls into a deep, hushed stillness. It is during these long nights that I discovered a fundamental truth: when the sun retreats, our inner light must take the lead.

The Canvas of Stillness
Winter has redefined my creative process at La Luna Mayor. In the absence of external distractions, art becomes a form of deep meditation. My designs are no longer just illustrations; they are echoes of the silence I find in the snow-covered forests. This "winter art" is born from a place of introspection, where every stroke is a conversation with the soul.
Yoga: Finding Warmth in the Flow
On my mat, the cold disappears. Yoga during the Swedish winter is my sanctuary of presence. It is the practice of honoring the body’s need for slow, intentional movement while building the fire of strength from within. Each pose is an act of gratitude—a way to thank my body for its resilience and for the breath that keeps me anchored to the now.
The Power of the Present
Living here has taught me that consciousness is our greatest amulet. Being fully present in the "here and now"—whether it's watching the moon rise over a frozen lake or feeling the texture of a new journal—is what turns a dark season into a magical one.
Winter is not a time of emptiness, but a time of preparation. Like the seeds beneath the snow, we are not dormant; we are gathering the strength to bloom when the time is right.
